Marguerite Schiller, 93, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois. Born in Crawford County, near Bellair, Illinois on September 18, 1919; she was the daughter of Henry Biggs and Stella (Baker) Biggs. She was a homemaker. Marguerite was a member of the First Christian Church, Oblong, Illinois; KJU Sunday School Group; Crawford County Home Extension and C & G Coffee Group. Her hobbies included crocheting and taking care of her family.
On June 10, 1943, Marguerite married Charles C. Schiller, who preceded her in death on February 14, 1979. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two grandsons, Chad Schiller and Mike Jennings; four brothers: Cleon, Roy, Leo and Levi Biggs; a sister, Ruby Day; son-in-law, Jerry Jennings and step-mother, Mabel Biggs.
Marguerite is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck & Judy Schiller and Cliff & Peggy Schiller; a daughter, Jan Jennings; five grandchildren, Rod Schiller & fiancee Beth Fritchie, Cary Schiller, Jim & Carrie Jennings, Jodi & Joey Allen and Cristi Schiller; a step-granddaughter, Shelby & Joshua Dersch; six great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Jennings, Brooke Allen, Claire Allen, Gracie Allen, Kasey Allen and Kathryn Jennings; three step-great-grandchildren, Jacob Fritchie, Carson Fritchie and Jessica Bell; two step-great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marge & Price Downey, Minta Biggs and Hazel Horseman; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Bro. Dee Wolfe will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, lllinois.
